Concatenation Sequences

چکیده
All kinds of things can be found among integer sequences, including the weird and nonsensical. Enter Smarandache sequences (S. sequences, for short), which are integer sequences due to Florentin Smarandache and his disciples. Some S. sequence are related to number-theoretic topics. Others, at first glance (second, third, ...) seem downright silly. An example is the progressive concatenation of the digits of the Fibonacci numbers:

Designing with Smarandache Sequences, Part 1: Concatenation Sequences

متن کاملConcatenation of pseudorandom binary sequences
In the applications it may occur that our initial pseudorandom binary sequence turns out to be not long enough, thus we have to take the concatenation or merging of it with another pseudorandom binary sequences. Here our goal is study when can we form the concatenation of several pseudorandom binary sequences belonging to a given family? We introduce and study new measures which can be used for...
متن کاملEvolution to Complexity: Replication, Elongation and Assembly in an RNA World
A spatially resolved model of RNA world is studied, where primer induced replication, concatenation and random cutting are considered. The increase of diversity of sequences and complexity of shapes are observed; A hierarchically orgnized \replication network" is formed, and evolution to long sequences and assembly of further long sequences are obtained through it. These results suggest a scena...
متن کاملUnit fusion for concatenative speech synthesis
An important problem in concatenative synthesis is the occurence of spectral discontinuities or “concatenation mismatch” between sonorant speech units. In this paper, we present an approach to reduce concatenation mismatch by combining spectral information from two sequences of speech units selected in parallel. Concatenation units, on one hand, define initial spectral trajectories for a target...
متن کاملOligo-distance: a Sequence Distance Determined by Word Frequencies
Differences in the frequencies of chemical words of a given length in two nucleic sequences are used to define an “oligo-distance” between the sequences. Oligo-distances are much easier and faster to compute than the distances conventionally determined by sequence alignment. A correlation between oligo-distance and alignment-distance is observed. The two kinds of distances are used to construct...
